first a cartoon ran in an indonesian islamic-leaning newspaper "rakyat merdeka" of australian prime minister howard and foreign minister downer as a pair of sex crazed dingoes on a barren island called "papua".
then the australians retaliated with the cartoon above of an indonesian with a black papua man.
as a result, the australian embassy in indonesia has been alerted to prepare for a potential backlash, as in warnings of a possible terrorist attack.
these set of cartoons may be tasteless, but why is it that always whenever the muslims are offended they need to retaliate with violence?
and i do believe that the cultural relativists theory that a certain kind of behavior can be deemed right or wrong relative to a specified society is a bunch of bs. there are global moral standards regardless what society you come from and the maniac muslims need to be held accountable for their abhorent behavior
